City Council Meeting

____________________________________________________________________________________ CITY COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, April 15, 2024 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 7:00 PM. All present stood and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Administrator Josh Finch confirmed the meeting did receive proper public notice. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Tom Hotek, Leanne Beyer, Mark Lankey, Darrow Novy, Liz Parish, Randy Seeley, and Rick Hanke present. Pat Moen was absent. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel, Administrative Associate Sara McDonald, Police Chief Patrick Clark, Hillsboro Sentry Editor, Nicolette Nauman, and citizen Alex McDonough. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Beyer to approve the March 18, 2024 Common Council Minutes as well as the Special Common Council Minutes. Motion carried. There were no registered Public Comments. Motion by Lankey, seconded by Parish to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Hotek to approve Resolution #6-2024-Stewardship Grant Applicaton. Motion carried. Motion by Novy, seconded by Parish to approve 2024 Road Project Bid Selection of Scott Construction, INC. Motion carried. Motion by Novy, seconded by Hanke to approve Life Guard Employment Approval of Alicia Burch. Motion Carried Mayor Kubarski made three Mayoral Proclamations: Arbor Day, Municipal Treasurers Week and Municipal Clerks Week. There was no closed session.
