Committee of the Whole Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES TUESDAY, August 9th, 2022 Mayor Greg Kubarski called the Committee of the Whole meeting to order at 7:01 PM on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022. Committee members present at the time the meeting was called to order were Rick Hanke, Leanne Beyer, Tom Hotek, Randy Seeley, Pat Moen, Darrow Novy, and Elizabeth Parish. Mark Lankey was absent. Others present included: City Administrator Josh Finch, Police Officer Rachell Winch, Streets employee Mike Burch, and Nicolette Nauman of the HSE. Mayor Kubarski asked if this meeting received proper public notice to which Finch confirmed that the meeting did receive proper notice. Motion by Hanke, second by Novy, to approve the July 12th, 2022, Committee of a Whole meeting minutes. Motion carried. Safety and Welfare Officer Winch presented the Police Chief’s Report. Winch noted that there were 182 total calls in the month of June. Winch mentioned the tractor pull is coming up this weekend and they have been preparing for that. Improvements and Services Finch presented to the Committee an update regarding the Baraboo River project which the Committee recommended the project bid package for council approval on the next council meeting. Finance and Personnel The committee reviewed the bills and recommended the bills for Council approval on the next council meeting. Administrator Finch presented his administrator’s report. Finch discussed the outline for the 2023 Budget timeline and provided an general budget update. Motion by Hotek, second by Hanke to adjourn at 7:31 PM. Motion carried.
