Committee of the Whole Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11TH, 2022 Mayor Greg Kubarski called the Committee of the Whole meeting to order at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022. Committee members present at the time the meeting was called to order were Mark Lankey, Rick Hanke, Leanne Beyer, Tom Hotek, Randy Seeley, Pat Moen, Darrow Novy, and Elizabeth Parish. Others present included: City Administrator Josh Finch, Police Chief Patrick Clark, Treasurer Lisa Johnson, Library Director Jackie Pysarenko, Streets Employee Mike Burch, and Nicolette Nauman of the HSE. Mayor Kubarski asked if this meeting received proper public notice to which Finch confirmed that the meeting did receive proper notice. Motion by Beyer, second by Hotek, to approve the September 13th, 2022, Committee of a Whole meeting minutes. Motion carried. Safety and Welfare Chief Clark the Police Chief’s Report. Clark noted that there were 152 total calls in the month of August. Clark mentioned that the mobile cad system will be switching in December and was asked about an Officer breakdown. Clark discussed the new squad car grant stating we have not heard anything but are still preparing for it. Lastly, Clark spoke about the possibility of altering the snow parking ordinance in the future. Improvements and Services Finch presented to the Committee an update regarding the Baraboo River project which the committee recommended the selected contractor, Janke, for Council approval on the next council meeting. Finance and Personnel The committee reviewed the bills and recommended the bills for Council approval on the next council meeting. Administrator Finch presented his administrator’s report.
