MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY CITY OF HOBART, LAKE COUNTY, INDIANA May, 5, 2017 Call to Order: Mayor Snedecor called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: The following members were present: Mr. Lain, Mr. Ehrhardt, and Mayor Snedecor. Also present: Attorney DeBonis, C-T Longer, and Admin. Asst. C. Govert Approval of Agenda: Motion by Mr. Ehrhardt, seconded by Mr. Lain, to approve the agenda as presented. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) New Business: Resolutions Approving Agreements for the Purchase of Improvements for New Public Works Maintenance Facility: Attorney DeBonis reviewed the Resolutions and the reasons needed to consider these documents after the Council’s actions. The Council approved the documents on May 3, 2017. This is a $1.4 million improvement with a 10 year payment plan. Resolution 2017-01: A Resolution Approving Agreements for the Purchase of Improvements for New Public Works Maintenance Facility: The Resolution was read. Motion by Mr. Lain, seconded by Mr. Ehrhardt, to adopt Resolution 2017-01 as presented. All aye, motion carried. (3- 0) Resolution 2017-02: A Resolution Approving Agreements and Other Documents for the Purchase of Improvements for New Public Works Maintenance Facility: The Resolution was read. Motion by Mr. Lain, seconded by Mr. Ehrhardt, to adopt Resolution 2017-02 as presented. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) Announcements: There were no Announcements.
