Committee of Whole

CITY OF HORICON COMMITTEE OF WHOLE MAY 28, 2013 The Committee of Whole of the City of Horicon met in regular session on May 28, 2013. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Neitzel at 6:00 p.m. Alderpersons present: Marschke, Miller, Plautz, and Wieneke. Alderpersons absent: Hady and Pahl. The purpose of the Committee of Whole meeting was to conduct orientation with City Attorney Douglas Plier. His review included The Conduct of Common Council Meetings and Handbook for Wisconsin Municipal Officials. Both manuals are published by the League of Wisconsin Municipalities. Attorney Plier conducted a brief review of the following:  Committee of Whole  Quorums  Committee/Council Voting Requirements  Veto Powers of the Mayor  Postponing/Tabling Motions  Open Meeting Law  Meeting Notice Requirements  Public Records  Closed Session Meetings  Use of the City Attorney An opportunity was provided to ask questions. Hady arrived at 6:10 p.m. Pahl arrived at 6:15 p.m. Motion by Wieneke, second by Plautz, to adjourn. All voting AYE. Meeting adjourned at 7:02 p.m. _____________________________________ Kristen M.
