Black Otter Lake District Commissioners Meeting Notes 4/9/26 Hortonville Community Center 5:30 PM Attendees: Aaron Steber, Bob Jewell, Judy Williams, Dan Nejedlo, Jared Dorn Absent: Sean Kuske and Colton Glocke Agenda 1) Call to Order – Meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM by Aaron Steber (filling in for President Kuske) 2) Minutes of January Meeting – January meeting minutes were handed out and reviewed by the group a. Nejedlo made a motion to approve January meeting minutes, Dorn seconded, Vote 5-0 to approve. Motion carried. 3) Treasurer’s Report – Judy Williams went through handout of current financials a. Jewell made a motion to approve report, Willams seconded. Vote 5-0 to approve. Motion carried. 4) Old Business a. Aerator shut off i. Aerator shut off was discussed by the group and citizens present. One question that arose was if buoys were collected before ice-out. Aaron Steber to check with Sean Kuske on buoy collection b. Resident comments (limit 5 minutes) i. None 5) New Business a. Harvester Maintenance i. Dan Nejedlo discussed harvester maintenance. Maintenance and needed repairs were discussed with volunteer operators. Discussion on possibly having Stacey Peterson (KR West) look at harvester. KR West will be contacted. Discussion on having maintenance budget available for next meeting. b. Finer Gravel on Conveyor Pad i. Discussion on difficulty walking on large stone currently on conveyor pad. Aaron Steber to look into getting 1 ¼ “ CABC to top coat larger stones to make access easier and alleviate trip hazards. c. Update to Watershed Expansion i. Aaron Steber discussed YouTube video put out by University of Stevens Point that discussed pros and cons of watershed expansion (https://youtu.be/WNzeGGqBVvw?si=n-Kk--UV0jpzcLbP ). Bob Jewell discussed an example in the video where watershed district expansion led to dissolution of the district. Aaron Steber to get YouTube video online so its available for people to see. d. Fish Stocking i. Fish Stocking using Wisconsin Lake and Pond Resource was discussed as well as using the correct fist to stock to keep a balance between predator and bait fish. Decision to look more into research on subject and if there is any money currently budgeted for this line item. Will bring back to next meeting. 6) Any other topics for future meetings a. Dan Nejedlo mentioned making sure we post agenda on Village website and Bulletin Board in the Municipal Building. b. Fish Stocking and Equipment Maintenance to be added to next agenda. c. Next BOLD Commissioners Meeting date set for May 6th at 5:30 pm. 7) Adjourn a. Jewell motioned to adjourn. Dorn seconded. Vote 5-0 to approve. Motion carried. b. Meeting adjourned at 6:27pm
