VILLAGE OF HORTONVILLE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE JUNE 20, 2024 MEETING MINUTES APPROVED AUGUST 15, 2024 President Jeanne Bellile called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Community Center at 531 N. Nash St., Hortonville, Wisconsin. Trustees present: Grace Abitz (arrived at 5:04), Bob Jewell, Jim Moeller, Jane Olk, Shauna Keel, Julie Arendt Vanden Heuvel Trustees excused: Officials/Staff present: Administrator Nathan Treadwell, Clerk-Treasurer Jane Booth, and Director of Public Works Aaron Steber Downtown Lights Discussion Administrator Treadwell said that in the packet there was a summary of six different options of lights that staff had liked. DPW Director Steber asked about flowers hanging from the light poles, and if the board liked that. Discussion on various options of lighting. The color that was decided was black, and the preference would be a higher light along with a lower light that lights the sidewalk, dual arm offset. Alonzo Park Sign Discussion Administrator Treadwell said that with the Alonzo Park entrance the thought was to eventually redo the sign. There were some examples of digital signs in the packet, however it was mentioned that you would need wifi down there. Consensus was to go with a digital sign, with the Village logo on top and also the Alonzo Park with the Lions Club logo. Adjourn Motion [Moeller/Olk] to adjourn. Unanimous voice vote, motion carried.
