VILLAGE OF HORTONVILLE Senior Ac vi es Commi ee Mee ng Minutes Thursday February 12, 2026, at 12:00 pm Community Room/Municipal Center 1) Call to Order at 12:00 Pat Lund Moe called the meeting to order. Members present were Rose Gorski, Joanne Mueller, Sara Bultman and Lauren Prochnow. Excused were Lisa Springstroh and Jane Olk 2) Introductions as needed 3) Agenda Changes – None. 4) Approval of January 8, 2026, meeting minutes – [Mueller, Gorski] Unanimous voice vote, motion carried. 5) Thank you cards for speakers and donors signed during meeting – Mark from Care Patrol. 6) Review of activities since last meeting: January 12th: Coffee: card making January 19th: MLK day, movie Selma – 4 new people a ended. Internet/movie did not work. February 2nd: Potluck, Na onal Tator Tot Day – went well, variety of dishes. February 9th: Care Patrol on Long-Term Care 101. Well received 7) Upcoming Activities: February 16th: Field Trip – to historical museum, booked in full. March 2nd: Potluck, Childhood Favorite with speed puzzles and childhood games. March 9th: Coffee and Convo: YMCA – physical and brain work. March 16th: “Bar Crawl” judges to judge baking bars. April 6 – day off April 13th – Field Trip to the Domes: update from HASD, determine cost, flyer April 20th: May baskets – will assemble in community room May 4th: Cinco de Mayo activities, senior activities to provide meal and entertainment. May 11th: Coffee and music (eat what you want day!) HHS/Justin Foth e-mailed re performance May 18th: Rob Zimmer speaker – fee proposal WHBY -Friday’s - $150 fee, approval to book (Mueller, Gorski) Unanimous voice vote, motion carried. 8) Communications : March/April calendars 9) Autumn Fest a. Venue Options – after speaking to different venues, Senior Activities has elected to go with Bethlehem Lutheran for the 2026 Autumnfest Year. St. Peter and Paul Parish has raised the fee from $250 to $800. The fee at Bethlehem will be $300. Motion [Mueller, Gorski] to utilize Bethlehem Church for the meeting area, not to exceed $300. Unanimous voice vote. Motion carried. b. Sponsor letters/agency booth requests to be mailed out in March? Updating letters and prepping to mail out in March. c. Program possibilities: dairy farming/cheese, and others – Pat to reach out to Richard Wegner from Agri-Pure to talk on dairy farming for the discussion. 10) Resignation of Committee Member/New member discussion – there is an opening in the group. 11) Community/Senior Center Tours 12) Items for Future Agendas: Activity with Summer Rec Program Autumn Fest 2026 2026 Calendar June-September 4th Monday 13) Future meeting dates: April 9th or 16th /May 14th 14) Adjournment Motion [Mueller, Bultman] to adjourn, unanimous voice vote.
