VILLAGE OF HORTONVILLE Senior Activities Committee Meeting Minutes Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 12:00 pm (feel free to bring your lunch) Community Room of Municipal Building 531 N. Nash Street 1. Call to Order – Trustee Lund – Moe called the meeting to order at 12:00 on March 7, All members were present, along with Gabe Wilson, Outagamie County, and ______ 2. Introductions 3. Agenda Changes 4. Approval of February 8, 2024, meeting minutes. Motion [Gorski, Mueller] to approve February 8th minutes 5 ayes, 0 nays, approved. 5. Thank you cards for speakers and donors (signed during meeting) 6. Review of activities since last meeting February 12th: Coffee and Conversation with Courtney Linde, PT – this went well, she shared some great information. February 21st: Chair Yoga “sampler” class – We had about 15 people attend; people are interested in the program. March 4th: Potluck and Movie – We had a good attendance for this; people were excited to watch this movie, especially because it was based on a true story. 7. Begin Planning for Senior Autumn Fest a. history of event and feedback from agencies – Feedback was good, many of the agencies like the way it was run this past year and want to keep it the same. a. Review Timetable – Looking to get donor letters out in the next couple of weeks. b. Brainstorm speaker and topic – there were a few suggestions made, the committee is still working on a theme. c. Approve letters for sponsors and agency booth fair participants – working to complete this. ***** Consulting Agencies are welcome to stay for the entirety of the meeting, but you are welcome to leave as needed.***** 8. Upcoming Events: March 11th: Coffee and Conversation: ReBuilding Together (intro/set-up/donuts) March 18th: Birthday at Care Partners with activity March 21st: Free balance screening at Orthopedic and Spine Therapy April 1st: no potluck due to spring elections April 8th: Coffee and Conversation with Fox Valley Memory Project April 15th: Potluck and Birthday ; May baskets April 23: 10am tour of Hearthstone / approve flyer and rsvp details May 6th: Potluck and Greeting card creations: start at 10 am; Kelsey from ADRC May 13th: Coffee and Conversation – gardening? May 20th: Birthday and planting of pots and raised bed gardens Date for Summer Picnic Summer field trip ideas 9.
