VILLAGE OF HORTONVILLE Senior Activities Committee Meeting Minutes Thursday November 13, 2025, at 12:00 pm Community Room/Municipal Center 1) Call to Order at 12:06 2) Attendance: Sarah Bultman, Rose Gorski, Lisa Springstroh, Pat Lund- Moe, Lauren Prochnow. Missing: Jane Olk, Joanne Mueller, Verna Zimmerman 3) Agenda Changes – none. 4) Approval of November 9, 2025, meeting minutes Motion [Bultman, Gorski] to approve the minutes. Unanimous voice vote. Motion carried. 5) Thank you cards for speakers and donors: - Autumn Fest Sponsors and Donors. 6) Review of activities since last meeting: Autumn Fest October 15th: Couple had stopped Rose, had lots of great things to say and questions. A couple of suggestions for next year –  Flow at the beginning of the sign up, don’t put the drawing bin all the way from the registration.  Speak with vendors beforehand regarding residents going first to eat in line.  Agencies were asking for it to go a little longer, so they were able to meet with all the residents who came to their booths.  Entertainment before lunch when people are done at the vendor fair. Motion [Gorski, Springstroh] to have available containers for food with free will offering. Unanimous voice vote, motion carried. Autumn Fest 2026 – Tuesday, October 13. October 21st, 1:00 pm – Halloween bag assembly at Care Partners. The residents completed the activity of 300 bags in less than an hour. Worked efficiently and quickly. November 3rd, potluck: National Sandwich Day; Outagamie County Recycling presentation – residents loved it and the presenter! 7) Upcoming Activities: November 17th – “Green and Gold” movie: snacks – library to handle the event. December 1: Friendship potluck: tea, bring a friend, activities December 8: Coffee & Convo –share an ornament and a memory. December 15th: Holiday Party – Will run from 12-3, baked potato bar, use Thrivent Cards and budget money. Barbershop quartet to perform, Sarah to research games and activities. Verna offered some of her decorations. January 5th: Potluck: Jean Long Manteuffel – encouraging people to bring something to part with. January 12th: Coffee & Convo: card making – Jackie or Lynn to lead January 19th: MLK Day, movie Selma 8) Communications-Calendars December – discussed and finalized December calendar. 9) Field Trips in February and April – possible vote to choose Many residents are interested in another field trip, just need to finalize where to go. 10) Possible 4th Monday Senior activity (Library) – table until next meeting. 11) Resignation of Committee Member/New member discussion Verna Zimmerman has given her resignation from the Senior Activities Committee. There is another resident interested in joining the committee. 12) Community/Senior Center Tours – to be discussed at a later date. 13) Items for Future Agendas: 2026 calendar Field Trips, programs (Timber Rattler, Hearthstone, etc) Scheduling tours of centers 14) Future meeting dates: December 11th 15) Adjournment – Motion [Gorski, Bultman] to adjourn. Unanimous voice vote. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
