201 MINUTES OF PRE -COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF HUEYTOWN, ALABAMA TUESDAY, MARCH 22, 2022 The City Council of the City of Hueytown met at 5: 30P.M. in the Council Chamber meeting room at the City of Hueytown City Hall on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. The meeting was called to order with Council President Pickens and Council members Zinnerman, Wright and Jacks present and Council Member Hurliman being absent. Mayor Ware was present during the Pre -Council meeting and the City Attorney, Charlie Waldrep, of Waldrep Stewart 8s Kendrick, LLP. was also present. There were three individuals in the audience. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss general municipal business and review the City Council agenda. MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL CITY OF HUEYTOWN, ALABAMA TUESDAY, MARCH 22, 2022 A regular meeting of City Council of the City of Hueytown, Alabama was held in the Council Chamber of Hueytown City Hall on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. 1. CALL TO ORDER, INVOCATION, ROLL CALL AND MEDIA RECOGNITION The meeting was called to order at 6: OOP. M. with approximately thirteen individuals in the audience. The invocation was given by the City Chaplin, Mr. Charles Winston, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Upon roll call, with Council members Zinnerman, Pickens, Wright and Jacks were present with Council Member Hurliman absent. Council President Pickens presided over the meeting. Mayor Ware was present and the City Attorney, Charlie Waldrep, of Waldrep Stewart & Kendrick, LLP. was also present. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Council member Jacks moved, seconded by Council member Zinnerman, that the minutes of the Pre -Council and the Regular Council Meeting held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 be approved as previously received and thereby dispensing with reading of the minutes. Upon roll call, President Pickens, and Council members Zinnerman, Wright and Jacks voted yes. There were no nay votes. President Pickens declared the minutes approved. President Pickens announced due to the impending threat of severe weather; agenda items four through seven and twenty- eight will be omitted from tonight' s meeting agenda. A motion by Council Member Zinnerman to add Resolution Number 6165 as item 27B was made with a second to the motion made by Council Member Jacks. Upon roll call vote, President Pickens and Council members Zinnerman, Wright and Jacks voting yes, there were no nay votes. The motion unanimously carried. 3. MAYOR' S REPORT The Mayor welcomes everyone who took the time to attend the meeting this evening. The Mayor turned this time of the meeting to Police Chief Yarbrough who presented a plaque to Stephanie Robertson. Resolution 6148: Resolution 6148 was presented to consider the renewal of the memorandum of understanding with the Jefferson County Commission regarding storm debris removal and monitoring services. Resolution 6149: Resolution 6149 was presented to consider the declaration of a Public Nuisance for the property located at 130 Lindberg Road.
