242 MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF HUEYTOWN, ALABAMA THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 2024 A special called meeting of the City Council of the City of Hueytown, Alabama, was held in the Council Chamber meeting room at the Hueytown City Hall on Thursday, August 15, 2024. 1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Council President Wright at 8: 48A. M. with approximately two individuals present in the audience. 2. ROLL CALL Upon Roll Call, Council Members Hurliman, Wright and Jacks being present and Council Members Zinnerman, and Pickens absent. Mayor Stephen Ware and City Attorney Charlie Waldrep of Waldrep Stewart and Kendrick, LLP were absent. 3. MEDIA RECOGNITION: There were no members of the media present. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Council Member Hurliman made a motion followed by a second to the motion by Council Member Jacks to approve the July 23, 2024, Pre -Council and Council Meeting minutes and the August 05, 2024 Council Work Session meeting minutes as previously received and thereby dispensing with reading of the minutes. Upon roll call vote, President Wright and Council Members Hurliman and Jacks voting yes. There were no nay votes. President Wright declared the minutes approved. 5. BILLS FOR APPROVAL Council Member Jacks presented a list of bills totaling $ 946, 096. 31 and made a motion to approve the list of bills which were presented for payment followed by a second to the motion by Council Member Hurliman. Upon a roll call vote, President Wright and Council Members Hurliman and Jacks voting yes. There were no nay votes. The motion carried unanimously.
