THIS NOTICE IS POSTED PURSUANT TO THE TEXAS OPEN MEETING ACT
(CHAPTER 551) OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA
COLONY WILL HOLD A WORKSESSION AT 6:00 P.M. AND PUBLIC HEARING AND
COUNCIL MEETING AT 7:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, JUNE 17, 2019 AT IOWA COLONY
CITY HALL, 12003 IOWA COLONY BLOULEVARD (FCR 65) IOWA COLONY, TEXAS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING AND IF APPROPRIATE, TAKE ACTION WITH
RESPECT TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.
This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available.

• Discuss possible amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Section 65 Home
Occupations.
REGULAR MEETING 7:00 P.M. -

3. PUBLIC HEARING
• Hold a public hearing on the annexation A 34 acre tract and a 26 acre tract, each
located in the H.T. & B. R.R. Co. Survey, Section 49, Abstract 259, in Brazoria
County, Texas; adjoining the west side of Iowa Colony Boulevard (County Road
65); approximately 2200 feet north of Dubuque Parkway (County Road 63); and
approximately 2100 feet south of Davenport Parkway (County Road 64).
• Hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on June 17, 2019, at the Iowa Colony City Hall,
12003 Iowa Colony Boulevard (County Road 65), Iowa Colony, Texas, pursuant
to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to consider amending the
maximum building heights and other regulations in the Meridiana PUD, which is
described in Ordinance 20 17-02.

An opportunity for the public to address City Council on agenda items or concerns not on the
agenda. To comply with the Texas Open Meetings Act, this period is not for question and
answer. Those wishing to speak must fill out the sign-up sheet at the entrance to the council
chambers prior to the start of the meeting, and observe a three-minute time limit.”

8. Consideration and possible action regarding a request for a variance to the Sign Ordinance as
requested by Coastal Storage, as recommended with conditions by the Planning Commission
9. Consideration and possible action to approve an ordinance increasing height requirements for
MFR in Meridiana PUD as recommended by the Planning Commission.
10. Consideration and possible action to approve an ordinance authorizing enforcement of traffic
regulations on private streets in Sterling Lakes Subdivision, setting speed limits, and authorizing
traffic control signs as petitioned by the Sterling Lakes Property Owners Association.
11. CONSENT AGENDA- Consideration and possible action approving the following Consent
Agenda items.
A. Consider approval of minutes of the following meetings.
• May 20, 2019 Council meeting.
• June 10, 2019 Special Council meeting.
B. Approval to waive fees for a benefit home to be constructed by History Maker Homes in
the Sierra Vista Development.
C. Approval of the 2018 TIRZ 2 Annual Report as recommended by the Iowa Colony
Development Authority and the Iowa Colony Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone 2 Board of
Directors.
D. Approval of the following plats as recommended by the Planning Commission.
