JAMESTOWN CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING, OCTOBER 31, 2023 OFFICIAL MINUTES City Hall, 102 3rd Ave SE, Jamestown, ND 58401 The special meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Heinrich at 4:30 P.M. The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited. Roll Call showed the following members present: Mayor Heinrich, Council Members Buchanan, Kamlitz, Steele, Assistant City Attorney Geroux, and City Administrator Hellekson. Absent: Schloegel Council Member Schloegel seated himself at 4:33 p.m. Council Member Kamlitz moved a resolution to approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Jamestown and the Jamestown Public Schools for the School Resource Officer (SRO) vehicle and authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to sign. Seconded by Council Member Steele. Assistant City Attorney Geroux and Police Chief Edinger provided information. Roll Call No. 1: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. Carried. Council Member Buchanan moved a resolution approving the purchase of a 2023 Dodge Durango Pursuit from John Jones Auto Group, Corydon, IN, in the amount of $47,875 to be reimbursed by Jamestown Public Schools through the SRO Memorandum of Understanding, leaving a balance of $15,125 for additional fees and outfitting of the vehicle. Seconded by Council Member Schloegel. Police Chief Edinger and Assistant City Attorney Geroux provided information. Roll Call No. 2: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. Carried.
