CITY OF JAMESTOWN CITY COUNCIL BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING JULY 8, 2024 The budget meeting was called to order by Mayor Heinrich at 4:00 P.M. Members Present: Mayor Heinrich, Council Members Kamlitz, Steele and Toso, Assistant City Attorney Geroux, and City Administrator Hellekson. Absent: Schloegel. Staff Present: Blackmore, Edinger, Laber, Michel, Reuther, Stroh and Sveum. Mayor Heinrich stated the goal is to complete the budget process efficiently and he is hopeful that the proposed longevity and wage increases included in the proposed budget can remain in place upon completion. City Administrator Hellekson presented a slide presentation showing all steps required to complete the budget process for the City along with an overview of all funds. Council Members were provided with the first version of the General Fund budget showing the 2024 year-to-date and the 2025 proposed General Fund budget. Fire Chief Reuther, Police Chief Edinger, City Assessor Stroh and Building Inspector Blackmore provided information. The next City Council Budget Committee meeting is Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. in City Hall. Mayor Heinrich adjourned the meeting at 5:54 P.M. Sarah Hellekson, City Administrator
