BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING
APRIL 8, 2025
UNOFFICIAL MINUTES
The Board of Equalization was called to order by Mayor Heinrich at 4:00 p.m.
Roll Call showed the following members present: Mayor Heinrich, Council Members Kamlitz, and
Phillips, City Assessor Stroh, Assistant City Attorney Geroux, City Administrator Hellekson, City
Appraiser Fuchs and City Appraiser Mennis (online). Absent: Steele
Council Member Schloegel seated himself at 4:03 p.m.
City Assessor Stroh presented the annual report to the board.
Dave Hinz, 819 11th Ave SE, Jamestown appeared to discuss concerns with the property valuation. City
Assessor Stroh provided information. The City Assessor’s office agreed to meet with Mr. Hinz to
discuss the valuation of the lot further.
Wal-Mart, 921 25th St SW, Jamestown contacted the City Assessor prior to the meeting to discuss
concerns with the property valuation. Wal-Mart informed the City Assessor that it has an appraisal
scheduled and will forward that information once completed.
Mayor Heinrich recessed the meeting at 4:37 p.m. and announced it will reconvene on Thursday, April
24, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
