BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING
APRIL 24, 2025
UNOFFICIAL MINUTES
The Board of Equalization was called to order by Mayor Heinrich at 4:00 p.m.
Roll Call showed the following members present: Mayor Heinrich, Council Members Kamlitz, Phillips,
Schloegel, and Steele, City Assessor Stroh, Assistant City Attorney Geroux, City Administrator
Hellekson, City Appraiser Fuchs and City Appraiser Mennis.
City Assessor Stroh informed the board that all properties, except for Wal-Mart, had been revisited if the
property owners had contacted the City prior to the April 8, 2025, meeting and those property values
were adjusted with the property owners in agreement of the new values. Wal-Mart is still awaiting a
completed appraisal from their privately-hired appraiser.
Council Member Phillips moved a Resolution to approve and accept the real property true and full value
for 2025, as submitted by the City Assessor, in the total taxable value of $1,311,162,608, subject to
qualified adjustments, the TIF, 2025 utilities, homestead credits, and disabled veterans’ credits.
Seconded by Council Member Kamlitz. Roll Call No. 1 showed: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. Carried.
Council Member Steele moved to adjourn at 4:09 p.m. Seconded by Council Member Schloegel.
Unanimous aye vote. Carried.
