CITY OF JAMESTOWN
CITY COUNCIL BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING
JULY 22, 2025
The budget meeting was called to order by Mayor Heinrich at 12:00 P.M.
Members Present: Mayor Heinrich, Council Members Kamlitz, Phillips, Schloegel, Steele,
Assistant City Attorney Geroux, and City Administrator Hellekson.
Staff Present: Blackmore, Edinger, Fosse, Hilgemann, Laber, Michel, Reuther, Stroh, Sveum and
Veil.
Council Member Schloegel seated himself at 12:05 P.M.
City Administrator Hellekson presented a budget timeline along with a slide presentation
reviewing the 2024 and 2025 General Fund and all funds within the city’s budget. This meeting
discussion focused on the 2026 revenue sources within the General Fund. Council Members
were provided the first version of the General Fund budget showing the 2025 projected balances
and the 2026 proposed General Fund budget showing revenue accounts only. Deputy Auditor
Veil, Building Inspector Blackmore and Police Chief Edinger provided information.
The next City Council Budget Committee meeting is Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. in
City Hall.
Mayor Heinrich adjourned the meeting at 1:28 P.M.
