CITY OF JAMESTOWN CITY COUNCIL BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING JULY 23, 2025 The budget meeting was called to order by Mayor Heinrich at 12:00 P.M. Members Present: Mayor Heinrich, Council Members Kamlitz, Phillips, Schloegel and Steele, City Attorney Ryan, and City Administrator Hellekson. Staff Present: Blackmore, Edinger, Hilgemann, Laber, Michel, Reuther, Stroh, Sveum,Veil and Assistant City Attorney Geroux. Mayor Heinrich emphasized the importance of completing the budget process efficiently. He expressed optimism that the committee and staff can work together to arrive at a balanced budget. City Administrator Hellekson presented the General Fund expenses. Council Members were provided with the first version of the General Fund budget showing the 2025 projected balances and the 2026 proposed General Fund budget showing expense accounts only. Fire Chief Reuther, Police Chief Edinger, Building Inspector Blackmore, City Forester Laber and Public Works Director Michel provided information. The next City Council Budget Committee meeting is Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. in City Hall. Mayor Heinrich adjourned the meeting at 2:50 P.M. Sarah Hellekson, City Administrator
