Tom Blackmore, Building Inspector, explained the variance requests as follows: CASE #1144 1. Variance Request: Property owner is requesting a 5’7” Building Height Variance to construct a 40’ x 60’ detached garage with 12’ sidewalls and a 13’7” roof system. The property is located at 2006 11th St SW, Jamestown, North Dakota. City of Jamestown Municipal Code, Article C, Appendix 7, Section 7.4 limits accessory structures to a 20’ peak height. The plan presented exceeded the peak height. The building will be sunken by the height on the lot. The garage will be constructed on the west side of the property. The house on the property is around 35’ in height. Chairman Losing stated this structure will look good as well as blend in with the surrounding properties. Losing asked for a motion. Kilzer made a motion to approve. Seconded by Chairman Losing. No further discussion. Roll Call. 3 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent. Motion carried. 2. Chairman Losing adjourned the meeting. 1
