Forestry Committee

Minutes Forestry Committee 2-9-23 Meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. Roll was called. Dennis, Dan, Tex, and Erik. were present. Also, Corey Genter in the audience. There was no address from the public. Dennis moved to approve the minutes of the 1-12-23 meeting, Tex seconded, passed. New business discussed included: - General update o The crews for the buckthorn project along the James River on the White Cloud trail and Frontier Village area have started work. o Potential increase in grant funding, and the interest in more applications for grants, was discussed. o The new tree injector and plans for its use were discussed. Old business included: - Urban Forest Master Plan o The description of the committee and the intent to advertise was approved by motion. Dennis moved to approve, Tex seconded, passed. Motion to adjourn was made by Tex, was seconded by Dan, and passed. The meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m. The next meeting will be held on March 9, at 3:30 p.m. in the council chambers.
