Forestry Committee

Minutes Forestry Committee 9-14-23 The meeting was called to order at 3:37 p.m. Roll was called. Dan, Dennis, John, Laurie, Olivia, and Erik were present. There was no address from the public. John moved to approve the minutes of the 8-10-23 meeting, Laurie seconded, passed. New business discussed included: - A general update, which included the note that the forester missed 5.5 days due to external factors. Tree planting has started, leaving non-planting duties on the back burner. Arbor day was set for September 22nd at Lincoln grade school at 2 p.m. The forester plans to apply for a planting grant on 2nd Ave SE this fall. - Arbor day plans were discussed. Old business included: - Some help has been gained for the month of August and into September so far. One individual 3 days a week, and one some hours in the evenings. - Laurie is still working on the thank you for Tex. Other business included: - Discussion on the UFMP subcommittee and possible replacements for members unable to attend. Motion to adjourn was made by John, was seconded by Dan, and passed. The meeting was adjourned at 4:24 p.m.
