Johnson Planning Commission Minutes Regular meeting: Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 6:30 pm Municipal Building 6:30 Roll call: Linda Edwards, Charles Gallanter, Kylie Hill, Sam Jasperson, and Jesse Whitworth present. Jesse made a motion to accept all previous minutes that were not yet approved. Motion carried. 6:45 A summary of the Flood Modeling meeting and a link to the slides will be posted on Front Porch Forum. 7:00 Johnson meets the requirements to be an opportunity zone. However, the funding for this cycle is gone. Money for the next cycle will not be available until at least spring. 7:15 Zoning and form-based code. Sam will research nearby towns and he will report back on their success with it. 7:20 Legion Field: The skating needs bathrooms. Building a larger pavilion would provide weather cover. Tuesday Night Live needs a designated site. The rail trail could be connected via Railroad Street, to the downtown. Later, a bridge could cross the Lamoille to the skate park. Visioning: the planning commission voted "no confidence" in the Visioning process. 7:30 Housekeeping LCPC has received the grant money for the Capitol plan with Morrisville. 7:40 Adjourn Next meeting: February 12, 2026 @ 6:30 pm.
