CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM PRESENT Director Dees announced a quorum and called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. B. CITIZENS FORUM The Economic Development Corporation - Parks Board invites citizens to speak on any topic. However, unless the item is specifically noted on this agenda, the Economic Development Corporation - Parks Board is required under the Texas Open Meetings Act to limit its response to responding with a statement of specific factual information, reciting the City’s existing policy, or directing the person making the inquiry to visit with City Staff about the issue. No Corporation deliberation is permitted. Each person will have 3 minutes to speak. NA C. REGULAR AGENDA 1. Review and discuss questions related to the budget report and financial statement for April 2024. City Manager Peacock stated that there were no major changes in the budget this month. Discuss, consider, and possible action on the March 11, 2024, meeting minutes. Motion made by Director Walden to approve the meeting minutes as presented. Seconded by Director Funderburk. Voting Yea: President Dees, Director Walden, Director Breitenstein, Director Funderburk, Director Carter, Director Henderson, Alternate 1 Watts 3. Discuss, consider, and possible action on potentially funding/sponsoring events for July 4, 2024. City Manager Peacock gave several options regarding a July 4th Celebration, including fireworks show near the park and ride, a laser light show, and a drone light show. He stated that the stage will not be delivered during the summer months. Director Walden asked what the range of price is. Mike stated that easily 40,000. In addition, he stated that the staff is gathering prices and information now. City Manager Peacock that the school may allow the city to do a laser/drone show at the high school. Director Dees stated that he believes the citizens would appreciate more city activities. City Manager Peacock stated that he would get some details together and would update everyone at a later date. 4. Monthly (April) update from the Parks Department. Update from Steven Gill:  Will soon start working on fields 2 and 3.  Kraftman is scheduled to come out soon regarding the splash pad.  Some of the benches have been installed.  Waiting for picnic tables and grills to be installed.  Playground- it's been about 5 weeks since being worked on, mainly due to the weather.  City Manager Peacock stated that he has spoken to Seth at Noah's Park trying to get them to increase the size of their crew. In addition, he is asking them to start the basketball court ASAP. Mr. Peacock stated that the company is committed is helping get this project done quickly.  Veteran Memorial will be updated shortly. D.
