ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE

Approval of Minutes: Janet moved to approve the March 24 minutes; John seconded
(Approved 6-0)
New Business:
Signs: None
Building Permits: Global Archives – 135 Schoolhouse Loop; new warehouse – Janet
moved to approve; John seconded. Approved (6-0) – George
Gibson (architect), Mike Fraser (project manager) & Haig Emorian
(owner) were all present via Zoom.
Copper Mountain – 31 Three Mile Dr.; drive-thru coffee espresso
– Bill moved to approve with the condition that the trash enclosure
will be screened with materials similar to the existing building;
John seconded. Approved (6-0) – Robin Lyon (owner) & Mike
Fraser (project manager) were both present via Zoom.
Great Indoors – Address TBD (Silverbrook & Church Dr.); new
indoor play facility – Bill moved to approve with the conditions of
adding eves to roof line as well as more wood and that it will come
back to the board to approve changes; John seconded. Approved
(6-0) – John Montoya (architect) & Marvin Galt present via Zoom.
Casa Mexico – 1600 Hwy 93 South; outdoor patio shelter – Bill
moved to approve; Janet seconded. Approved (6-0) – Ron Cebulla
(architect) present via Zoom.
Old Business: Woodland Apartments – 517 Shady Glen; new apartments – John
moved to approve with the condition that the shutters will be
removed from building on west elevation and that all windows on
the west elevation will be double hung; Bill seconded. Approved to
table (5-1) – Sarah Turner was opposed.
Other Discussion: Jarod Nygren working with the KDA on the ARC Guidelines.

In light of the recommendation from the City-County Health Department to implement service
delivery measures to transition away from walk-in and face-to-face services, the City of Kalispell
will be limiting public access to City Hall at 201 First Avenue East, beginning Thursday, March 19,
2020 until further notice. Only essential meetings will be conducted at City Hall, with most
meetings using conference call or other online meeting services. Accordingly, Architectural
Review is currently only available to the public via Zoom Meeting. If you would like to participate
in the meeting please contact the Planning Office at 758-7940 or planning@kalispell.com and we
will provide you with the meeting ID and password.
