MINUTES ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE DATE: Tuesday, September 22, 2020 @ 7:30 AM Kalispell City Hall, 201 1st Ave E MEMBERS PRESENT: Julia Pierrottet; Susanne Wigginton; Mark Pirrie; Janet Clark; John Hinchey; Sarah Turner (via zoom) OTHERS PRESENT: City Staff – PJ Sorensen, Rachel Ezell, Kari Barnhart # of Guests: 4 + 1 via phone conference Hear the Public: None Approval of Minutes: Mark moved to approve the September 8 minutes; John seconded (approved 6-0). New Business: Signs: Morrison-Maierle – 175 Timberwolf Parkway; new monument sign - Daniel Therrien present as representative – Janet moved to approve; John seconded (approved 6-0). Remax – 6 Sunset Plaza; new multitenant free standing sign - Daniel Therrien present as representative – Susanne moved to approve; Janet seconded (approved 6-0). Building Permits: Wendy’s; Exterior remodel – Mike Tracy via conference call as representative – Sarah moved to table; Susanne seconded. Sarah then retracted her motion. John moved to approve conditionally upon seeing material samples, more photos and updated renderings that more accurately show color contrast on brick; Susanne seconded (approved 6-0) Old Business: 1 Main St.; Exterior remodel – Mark Johnson & Paul Roybal present as representatives – John moved to approve with condition that the darker wood be used and that future signage be placed above upper windows; Mark seconded (approved 6-0) Copper Mountain Office- 31 Three Mile Dr; new office, storage, and retail building – Glen Anaker present as representative. Susanne moved to approve; Janet seconded (approved 6-0). Other Discussion: ARC Awards – committee chose winners (Sunrift & Ivy Building) Architectural Design Standards for Historic Kalispell – Rachel updated the board on progress.
