BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY COUNCIL CHAMBERS JANUARY 9, 2024-8:30 A.M. Roll call was answered by: Mayor Lance Waters, Chairman Don Gura, and Board Member Tara Streb. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, John Dixon, Patrick Howell, Kristen Johnson, Sheryl Prentice- KPC, Cindy Marple, Scott Mosley, Scott Derby, and Jeremy McKinley. Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. Minutes Board Member Tara Streb made a motion to approve the Board of Works minutes from the December 27, 2023 meeting with a second from Mayor Lance Waters. The motion passed 2 ayes – 0 nays. Petitions No petitions or comments were given. Mayor Mayor Lance Waters announced that Don Gura would be Chairman of the Board of Public Works and Safety. Clerk-Treasurer Request to Pay Priority Project Resources Inc. Clerk Treasurer Katie Ritchie requested authorization to pay invoice 2023-25 in the amount of $30,750.00 to Priority Project Resources. The money for this invoice will be ordered from the OCRA grant. Board Member Tara Streb made a motion to approve with a second from Mayor Lance Waters. The motion passed 2 ayes – 0 nays. WWTP Baker Tilly Invoice Superintendent Patrick Howell requested authorization to pay Baker Tilly $5,035.00 for services related to the BAN issue. Board Member Tara Streb made a motion to approve with a second from Mayor Lance Waters. The motion passed 2 ayes – 0 nays. Water Request to Pay Midwest Meter Inc. Superintendent Scott Mosley requested authorization to pay Midwest Meter $22,031.04 for electronic meter heads. This amount will be split evenly between water and wastewater. Board Member Tara Streb made a motion to approve with a second from Mayor Lance Waters. The motion passed 2 ayes – 0 nays. The December Revenue/Expense Report was presented for review. Motion to Adjourn Board Member Tara Streb made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
