COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL MAY 4, 2022 -7:00 P.M. Public Hearing for additional appropriation. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe announced the reasoning for the additional appropriation. No petitions or comments were given. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday May 4, 2021 at 7:02 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Corey Boese, Attorney Doug Atz, Council Member Amy Ballard, and Council Member Shari Targgart. Council Member Jim Dazey and MYAC Member Ryan Norden were absent. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, Lance Waters, Jeremy McKinley, and Angie & Easton Handshoe. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the April 19, 2022 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Regan Ford made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS No petitions or comments were given. MAYOR Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe recognized Detective Sargent Angie Handshoe as she was awarded the Child Protection Award from Noble County. CLERK TREASURER Resolution #1091/ Additional Appropriation Council Member Regan Ford requested the reading of Resolution #1091 in its entirety. Attorney Doug Atz read Resolution 1091 in its entirety. Council Member Regan Ford made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Shari Targgart. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. PARK The April 18, 2022 Park minutes were presented for review. OLD BUSINESS General Ordinance #1244/ Amend Traffic Ord. Schedule 5- 2nd Reading Council Member Regan Ford requested the reading of General Ordinance #1244 in its entirety. Attorney Doug Atz read General Ordinance #1244 in its entirety. Council Member Regan Ford made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. General Ordinance #1245/ Amend Traffic Ord. Schedule 4- 2nd Reading Council Member Regan Ford requested the reading of General Ordinance #1245 in its entirety. Attorney Doug Atz read General Ordinance #1244 in its entirety. Council Member Regan Ford made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. ALLOWENCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council Member Amy Ballard presented bills and claim numbers 71019 through 71099 for $921,775.99 for approval. Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 4 ayes-0 nays. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Shari Targgart made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe adjourned the meeting at 7:14 P.M. ________________________________________________ Kathren R.
