COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL JUNE 7, 2022 -7:00 P.M. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday June 7, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Corey Boese, Council Member Jim Dazey, Attorney Doug Atz, Council Member Shari Targgart and Council Member Amy Ballard. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, Lance Waters, Scott Derby, and Jeremy McKinley. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the May 17, 2022 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 5 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS Chief of Police Lance Waters assured Council that the Kendallville Police Department has, is, and will always aggressively pursue any crimes involving sexual predators. MAYOR Appointments Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe appointed Jim Vandiver to the Board of Aviation and Macy Burtch to the Convention of Visitors Bureau. The May 4, 2022 Aviation minutes were presented for review. ENGINEERING The May 2022 McCray Solar Report was presented for review. PARK The May 9, 2022 Park minutes were presented for review. ALLOWENCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council Member Council Member Jim Dazey presented bills and claim numbers 71212 through 71342 for $1,554,933.43 for approval. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 5 ayes-0 nays. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
