COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL APRIL 4, 2023 -7:00 P.M. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday April 4, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Corey Boese, Attorney Jacob Atz, Council Member Jim Dazey, Council Member Shari Targgart, Council Member Amy Ballard, and MYAC Member TJ Knox. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe was absent. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, Scott Derby, Brian Strange, Lance Waters, and Jo Knox. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the March 21, 2023 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Corey Boese made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Shari Targgart. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS No petitions or comments were given. MAYOR Council President Jim Dazey read Mayor Handshoe’s proclamation making April Sexual Assault Awareness Month. CLERK-TREASURER Clerk Treasurer Katie Ritchie presented the 2022 TIF Management Annual Report for review. OLD BUSINESS General Ordinance #1257/ Schedule for Permit Fees- 2nd Reading Council Member Regan Ford announced that general ordinance #1257 was eligible for second reading but made a motion to send the ordinance back to the law and ordinance committee with a second from Council Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. ALLOWANCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council Member Amy Ballard presented bills and claim numbers 73590 through 73673 for $620,150.76 for approval. Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Shari Targgart. The motion passed 4 ayes-0 nays. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Regan Ford made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Council President Jim Dazey adjourned the meeting at 7:07 P.M. ________________________________________ Kathren R.
