COUNCIL MINUTES October 24, 2022 The City Council of the City of Knoxville, Iowa, convened in special session Monday, October 24, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at the Knoxville Municipal Building Council Chambers. Mayor Hatch presided and the following Council Members were present: Megan Suhr, John Gotta, Dylan Morse, Dawn Rankin, and Jyl DeJong. Staffs present were City Manager, Heather Ussery; City Clerk, Jodie Wyman; Fire Chief, Cal Wyman; Police Chief, Aaron Fuller; Economic Development Director, Glenn Lyons; and Planning & Zoning Director, Nathan Parch. Economic Development Director, Glenn Lyons, provided an update to City Council regarding the façade improvement project at 203 E. Main. The contractor bid received totaled $519,000.00, including the general contractor work to be performed. The amount that was budgeted for Glenn to perform those duties can be removed, leaving $3,954.00 to reach the budgeted amount of $500,000.00 for this project. The owners of the property, 203 E. Main, have agreed to increase their personal contribution by $3,954.00. No action was taken by Council. Motion by Suhr; seconded by Morse to approve the site plan for C & O Real Estate LLC for a new dental office building on W. Bell Avenue. The motion passed all ayes. Motion by DeJong; seconded by Rankin to approve the site plan for Ridge Development for two parcels on W. Bell Avenue. The motion passed on a roll call vote.
