KOHLER PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING Wednesday October 4, 2023 Present: Erin Coppersmith, Librarian John Multer, Secretary Megan Drevline, President Eileen Hilke,Vice President Kya Diehl Michael Wandschneider Absent: Lisa Greene, Kohler Schools Nicole Witwer The meeting was called to order at 3:32 by Megan. Public Comment An E-mail was received asking if we were associated with the American Library Association. The person had concerns about books that might be offensive. Erin replied that we are not members of the ALA and do not have the books mentioned. Minutes of the September 6 meeting were approved Invoices for September were approved. Library/School: The door has now been fixed. Goals for 2023 Erin provided a report on actions on goals for 2023 Budget for 2024 The board moved to closed session to discuss salaries for 2024. After discussion a salary package was approved. The board moved back to open session. New Business The library now has two passes for use at local attractions. The pass policy provided by Erin was approved. Erin provided a list of goals for 2024. The budget includes a capital outlay of $8000 for 2024. Erin received a quote for tables and chairs for the meeting room of $8000. She will look further to include a smart board if possible. The meeting was adjourned at 4:35. .
