KOHLER PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING Wednesday September 6, 2023 Present: Erin Coppersmith, Librarian John Multer, Secretary Megan Drevline, President Nicole Witwer Eileen Hilke,Vice President Absent: Michael Wandschneider Kya Diehl Lisa Greene, Kohler Schools The meeting was called to order at 3:32 by Megan. Public Comment Comments were received on library parking. Erin reported that 10 spaces are available. Employees will be given tags to park on opposite side of street. Minutes of the August 15 meeting were approved Invoices for August approved. Amount was negative because of correction for check to Monarch that was paid twice. Library/School: Door still not fixed for security or handicapped. Erin will follow up. Library Policies Changes to section T of meeting room policies were approved. Election of officers The board voted to continue with the same slate of officers: Megan Drevline, President Eileen Hilke, Vice President John Multer, Secretary New Business The 2024 budget was discussed. Revenues will be down as these are based on county circulation for 2022. Most budget items have only small changes for 2024. The proposed budget was approved with the exception of employee salaries. Salaries will be discussed in closed session at the October meeting. Erin presented goals for 2024. Megan suggested a place for patrons to make program suggestions. The meeting was adjourned at 4:14.
