KOHLER PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING WEDNESDAY, March 6, 2024 Present: Erin Coppersmith, Librarian Megan Drevline, President Kya Diehl John Multer, Secretary Nicole Witwer Absent: Michael Wandschneider Eileen Hilke, Vice President Lisa Greene, Superintendent The meeting was called to order at 3:30 pm by Megan Public Comment: There was no public comment Minutes: The minutes of the February 2024 meeting were approved Invoices: Invoices for February were not ready for approval and will be approved next month. Library/School: Erin brought up issue of security camera in library that can be viewed by all school administration. This against law for public libraries. Only the librarian and school superintendent should be able to view camera plus police in an emergency situation. Erin is working with the village attorney to resolve this issue. New Business: The Village Board would like library hours extended to 7 days per week. They would accommodate the extra expense. Erin thought it would be difficult to find employees to cover the Saturday hours. We will try a test run for one month to see how many patrons would use the library on a Saturday. Megan will check with the village for their rational. The meeting was adjourned at 4:00. The next meeting will be April 3 at 3:30 pm Respectfully Submitted, John Multer
