Planning Commission

Village of Kohler Planning Commission Meeting February 5, 2026 Chairperson Thomas R. Schnettler called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Tom Schnettler, Lee Gumm, Paul Bonack, Lori Noonan and Thomas Kramer were present. Jay Hoekstra and Mike Wandschneider were absent. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Cindi Gamb. Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from January 8, 2026 - Motion by TJ Kramer, second by Lori Noonan to approve the meeting minutes from January 8, 2026. Motion carried. Business 1. Approve request from Grant Howard, 846 Briarwood Court, for a building permit for a fence – the fence meets all Villages specifications and has Kohler Co. approval. Along the rear property line, the fence will be 48 inches, which is allowed because the property abuts a different zoning district. Motion by Lori Noonan, second by Lee Gumm to approve request from Grant Howard, 846 Briarwood Court, for a building permit for a fence. Motion carried. 2. Approve request from Catherine and Brendan Ahern, Lot 35 in The Clearings Subdivision, for a building permit for a new home – plans meet Village specifications and have Kohler Co. approval. Motion by Lee Gumm, second by Paul Bonack to approve request from Catherine and Brendan Ahern, Lot 35 in The Clearings Subdivision, for a building permit for a new home. Motion carried. 3. Approve request from Kohler Co. for temporary signage - Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Lori Noonan to approve request from Kohler Co. for temporary signage in the Woodlake Market area during construction.
