Planning Commission

Village of Kohler Planning Commission Meeting January 8, 2026 Chairperson Thomas R. Schnettler called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m. Roll call was taken: Tom Schnettler, Lee Gumm, Paul Bonack and Lori Noonan were present. Jay Hoekstra, Mike Wandschneider and Thomas Kramer were absent. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Cindi Gamb. Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from December 4, 2025 - Motion by Lori Noonan, second by Lee Gumm to approve the meeting minutes from December 4, 2025. Motion carried. 1. Approve Request from Tim Abel, 529 Audubon Road, for a Building Permit for a Fence – plan for a decorative fence meets all Villages specifications and has Kohler Co. approval. Motion by Lee Gumm, second by Lori Noonan to approve request from Tim Abel, 529 Audubon Road, for a building permit for a fence. Motion carried. 2. Approve Request from Bruce and Patricia Nowak, Lot 67 in The Clearings Subdivision, for a Building Permit for a New Home – plans meet Village specifications and have Kohler Co. approval. Motion by Lori Noonan, second by Lee Gumm to approve request from Bruce and Patricia Nowak, Lot 67 in The Clearings Subdivision, for a building permit for a new home. Motion carried. 3. Approve Request from Shane and Rebecca Johnston, Lot 32 in The Clearings Subdivision, for a Building Permit for a New Home – plans meet Village specifications and have Kohler Co. approval. Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Lee Gumm to approve request from Shane and Rebecca Johnston, Lot 32 in The Clearings Subdivision, for a building permit for a new home . It was noted that on the site plan the curve table has C4 but the site plan shows C1. Mike Kitzerow will contact the contractor for this to be corrected. Motion carried. 4. Approve Request from Chris and Vai Oles, Lot 63 in The Clearings Subdivision, for a Building Permit for a New Home – plans meet Village specifications and have Kohler Co. approval. Motion by Lee Gumm, second by Lori Noonan to approve request from Chris and Vai Oles, Lot 63 in The Clearings Subdivision, for a building permit for a new home. Motion carried.
