Village of Kohler Property Committee Meeting May 13, 2024 Chairperson Mike Zimmermann called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Mike Zimmermann and Brett Edgerle. Tracy Lyons arrived after roll call. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Cindi Gamb. Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from April 8, 2024 – Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Mike Zimmermann to approve the meeting minutes from April 8, 2024. Motion carried. Business 1. Recommend Hiring Rhonda Kohler as the Klub 55 Coordinator – Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Mike Zimmermann to recommend the Village Board approve hiring Rhonda Kohler as the Klub 55 Coordinator. Motion carried. 2. Woodland Road Planning Discussion – for safety concerns, the speed limit should be lowered from 35 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour. Also, stop signs should be installed on Woodland Road at the intersections with Forest Road and Woodlake Road. Mike Kitzerow is working on getting bids to repave the road from Greenfield Drive north to the corporate limit. In the future, the Village will need to look at improving the path along the road, engineering will need to be completed and land may need to be purchased. The committee requested Mike Kitzerow to obtain a price to mil 2-inches, repave and regrade the hill at the intersection with Woodlake Road. Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Mike Zimmermann to recommend the Village Board approve installing two stop signs on Woodland Road at the intersections of Forest Road and Woodlake Road. Motion carried. Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Mike Zimmermann to recommend the Village Board approve lowering the speed limit to 25 miles per hour on Woodland Road from Greenfield Drive north to the corporate limit. Motion carried. 3. Update on Pool Project – outdoor shade awnings are coming Friday and will be installed as soon as possible. Next week the floors will be relayed. Grand opening will be June 10th. 4.
