Laconia Public Library Board of Trustees Minutes of Meeting Volpe Room February 6, 2020 I. Call to Order Laconia Public Library Board of Trustees held a special meeting in the Volpe Room. Chairman John Moriarty called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm. Present: Marie Bradley; Liz Rosenfeld; alternate Bruce Kneuer; and Director Randy Brough. Not Present: James Anderson; Aaron Bassett; Kimberly Danosi; John Perley; alternate Bill Bastraw. Chairperson seated alternate Kneuer. Pursuant to Chapter 47-4 of the Laconia City Code and RSA 202-A:4-c, the Trustees of the Laconia Public Library are holding a public hearing to accept unanticipated moneys in the amount of $5,000.00 or more. Notice of the time, place and subject of the hearing was published in the January 29 edition of the Laconia Daily Sun and was noticed at Laconia City Hall and Laconia Public Library. Chairman Moriarty opened the public hearing at 5:41 pm. Hearing no public input, Chairman Moriarty closed the public hearing at 5:42 pm. Bradley moved to accept $92,513.71 representing a distribution to Gale Memorial Library a/k/a Laconia Public Library, in accordance with Sub-Paragraph 3.D.4 of the Jean R. Leone Revocable Trust of 1993. Second was made by Rosenfeld. Board voted unanimously to pass the motion. A brief conversation ensued about how best to recognize this generous gift, with great ideas suggested by trustees Rosenfeld and Kneuer. Director Brough will work on formalizing some ideas.
