Licensing Board 2/5/2020 - Minutes 1. Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 12:00 PM by Chairman Rogato 2. Roll Call Chairman Jim Rogato, Chief Kirk Beattie (Fire), Captain Al Graton (police) 3. Recording Secretary Hilary Young 4. Acceptance of minutes from previous meetings 4.A. December 4, 2019 Draft Minutes Minutes of December 4, 2019 were reviewed by the board and accepted as presented. 5. Licensing Review 6. New Business 6.A. Entertainment License Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve the three entertainment renewals for Belknap Mill Society, Fratellos and The Margate. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Graton. 6.A.i. Belknap Mill Society 6.A.ii. Fratello's Restaurant 6.A.iii. The Margate 6.B. Outdoor Loudspeaker Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve two outdoor loudpseaker permits for 1848 Inn & Resort and Lakes Region Sled Dog Club. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Graton. 6.B.i. 1848 Inn & Resort 6.B.ii. Lakes Region Sled Dog Club 6.C. Use of Street or Highway 6.C.i. Rock Steady Boxing Lakes Region James St. Pierre addressed the Board stating that the race starts at 9 AM and the road would be closed for 10-15 minutes at the start of the race. When racers return back, they will be using the crosswalk and the road will not need to be closed again. Chairman Rogato entertained a motion with conditions that he speak with the Police Department regarding the road closure and to receive approval from the Parks and Recreation Department for the use of the WOW Trail. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Graton. 7. Mr. C's Taxi Company License for March 1, 2020 - February 28, 2021. Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve. Motion was made by Captain Graton and seconded by Chief Beattie. 2. 15 Taxi Drivers for Mr. C's Taxi (All Renewals) Cindy Carroll, Spurgeon Burns, Kevin Russell, Paul Hilson, John Egan, Mark Beauchemin, Christopher Richards, Timothy Hodgson, David Winsor, Margaret Kiley, Andrew Riviera, Robert Goodwin, Douglas Wentworth, George Brisendine, and Linda Sinclair. Chairmain Rogato entertained a motion to approve. Motion was made by Captain Graton and seconded by Chief Beattie. 3. Entertainment Renewal for Laconia VFW. Chairmain Rogato entertained a motion to approve. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Graton. 8. Unfinished Business 9.
