Minutes were approved by the Appointments Subcommittee at their 9/26/2022 meeting. CITY OF LACONIA - APPOINTMENTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING JULY 6, 2022, 7:00 P.M. LACONIA CITY HALL - ROOM 200B 7/6/2022 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Soucy called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. 2. SALUTE TO THE FLAG Chair Soucy led the Salute to the Flag. 3. RECORDING SECRETARY Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary 4. ROLL CALL Roll call was taken with the following Committee members in attendance: Chair Robert Soucy, Councilor Bruce Cheney and Councilor Mark Haynes. Chair Soucy noted that all members were in attendance and a quorum was established. 5. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE 6. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS 6.A. Regular meeting minutes of May 5, 2022 Minutes of the meeting of May 5, 2022 were accepted with no changes. 7. Interviews of individuals interested in being reappointed or appointed to the City's Boards and Commissions Aaron Bassett was interviewed for reappointed as a regular member of the Library Board of Trustees to a term expiring at the end of March, 2025. Marcia Hayward was interviewed to move from an alternate position on the Zoning Board to a regular position to fill a vacant term created by the resignation of a member. If appointed, Ms. Hayward would serve the remainder of that member's term which expires at the end of August, 2023, at which time she could apply for reappointment. Warren Clement was interviewed for appointment as a regular member of the downtown TIF District Advisory Board to a term expiring at the end of August, 2025. Scott McWilliam was interviewed to move from an alternate position on the Planning Board to a vacant regular member position. If appointed, Mr. McWilliam's term would expire at the end of June, 2025. Peter Stewart was interviewed for reappointment as a regular member of the Lakeport TIF District Advisory Board to a term expiring at the end of June, 2025.  Scott McWilliam was interviewed to move from an alternate position on the Planning Board to a vacant regular member position. If appointed, Mr. McWilliam's term would expire at the end of June, 2025. Peter Stewart was interviewed for reappointment as a regular member of the Lakeport TIF District Advisory Board to a term expiring at the end of June, 2025. Ryan Cardella was interviewed for reappointment as a regular member of the Weirs TIF District Advisory Board to a term expiring at the end of June, 2025. Rebecca Gregoire was interviewed for appointment as a regular member of the Lakeport TIF District Advisory Board to a term expiring at the end of June, 2025. The Appointments Committee will bring forth recommendations for appointment or reappointment at the next City Council meeting on July 11, 2022. 8. Any other business that may come before the Committee There was no further business to come before the Appointments Committee. 9. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 pm.
