Minutes were approved by the Appointments Subcommittee at their 4/30/2025 meeting. CITY OF LACONIA - APPOINTMENTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING MARCH 14, 2025 - 3:30 P.M. Laconia City Hall, Room 200B 3/14/2025 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Councilor Soucy, Chair of the Appointments Subcommittee, called the meeting to order at 3:30 pm. 2. SALUTE TO THE FLAG Councilor Soucy led the Salute to the Flag. 3. RECORDING SECRETARY Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary 4. ROLL CALL Councilor Robert Soucy (Chair) and Councilor Mark Haynes were in attendance. Councilor Bruce Cheney was absent. A quorum was established. 5. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary, and Administrative Assistant to the City Manager was present. 6. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS 6.A. Approval of Appointments Subcommittee meeting minutes of February 7, 2025 A motion was made by Councilor Soucy to approve the minutes of February 7, 2025. The motion was seconded by Councilor Haynes. The motion was approved unanimously. 7. Interviews of individuals interested in being reappointed or appointed to the City's Boards and Commissions The Appointments Subcommittee members interviewed the following applicants: Jim Daubenspeck - Requesting appointment as a regular member of the Downtown TIF District Advisory Board. Kara Chase - Requesting appointment as a regular member of the Downtown TIF District Advisory Board. Gary Dionne - Requesting appointment as a regular member of the Planning Board. Myles Chase - Requesting appointment as a member of the Downtown TIF District Advisory Board. A formal recommendation to the full City Council may be made at an upcoming meeting. 8.
