Anson called the meeting to order at 6:00pm 2. ROLL CALL Dean Anson, Deb Williams, Mike Foote, Stacy Soucy, Ruth O’Hara, Bob Harrington (6:25pm) 3. SALUTE TO THE FLAG The commission saluted the flag 4. RECORDING SECRETARY Taylor Daigle, Conservation/Planner Technician 5. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE 6. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS 6.I. Draft Minutes 6/15 M. Foote motions to accept the minutes of the 6/15 meeting as presented. D. Williams seconds. All vote in favor. 7. OLD BUSINESS 7.I. Lake Host - Messer Street D. Williams updated the commission on the Lake Host program at the Messer St Boat Ramp. They are looking for someone to hire as well as someone to do volunteer hours. 7.II. Taking Action For Wildlife Conservation Cohort T. Daigle shared that she applied to the “Taking Action for Wildlife Conservation Cohort” for the commission. She signed herself, D. Anson, D. Williams, and R. O’Hara up for the program. We should hear about acceptance this month. 7.III. Natural Resource Chapter Presentation T. Daigle will be presented the Natural Resources chapter of the master plan to the Planning Board at the July 12 th meeting. After it is accepted by the board, she will post it online 8. Meeting Frequency This item has been moved for discussion at the next meeting. 8.II. Opechee Tributary Sampling Sites D. Anson discussed the plan to meet with the Winnisquam Watershed Network and T. Daigle to discuss sampling locations for deep water and tributary water quality monitoring. They are meeting on 7/7 to discuss. The hope is to also involve the Lake Opechee Preservation Association with the sampling. D. Anson suggested that the Lake Winnipesaukee Association may have the coordinates for the deep-water sites. T. Daigle will gather the coordinates and work with NHDES to set up sample points in their system, after they have all been decided on. The commission reviewed the anticipated sites at this time. D. Anson suggested sampling north and south of the golf course to see its impacts on water quality, at least once. 9. NEW HAMPSHIRE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES APPLICATIONS 10. OTHER BUSINESS M. Foote discussed the 224 Endicott St East application that came before the board a few weeks prior. There are a lot of other factors that impact the water and drainage flow in this area, and he notes that it is unfair to put all of the responsibility for fixing such on one developer. He also notes that projects should be coming in with the final picture in mind, and not piecemealing additions to the project over time. D. Williams asked if there is an application in for the planning board for the marina across from the Water Street Boat Ramp. T. Daigle shares that there is but they need to go to the council before moving forward to conservation and planning board. T. Daigle discussed the installation of a new message board at the Opechee Boat Ramp on Messer Street. T. Daigle reminded the commission of the conservation easement walk at the Taylor Community on July 11 th . 11. LIAISON AND SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS S.
