MLK Planning Subcommittee Minutes November 6th, 2019 Laconia City Hall – Rm. 200B Next meeting November 20th at City Hall Room 200 B at 1 pm Present: Margaret Donnelly, Carol Pierce, David Osman, Rev. Judith Wright, David Stamps, Ira Keltz. The meeting came to order at 10am. The minutes of October 15th & October 22nd were approved with corrections David Osman introduced Ira Keltz. Ira is the president of the Temple Bnai Israel and wants to lend his support for our mission. David Osman reported on his contact with Larry Benaquist, a co-director of the movie about the life and death of Jonathon Daniels, “Here I am, Send Me.” Mr. Benaquist was very positive about working with us on programming for the MLK Day Celebration. We spent the rest of the time discussing how this film might be used during the MLK Celebration. We agreed to view the film (vimeo.com/14117023) and then continue our discussion. At our next meeting, we will discuss next steps as far as reaching out to Mr. Benaquist with concrete ideas for his participation. We plan to continue this discussion of MLK day on November 20th in room 200B at 1pm. David Stamps
