Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Planning Committee Meeting on June 17, 2024 Present: Rev. Judith Wright, Matt Soza and Tricia Weatherbee Unable to be present: Richard Littlefield, and Janet Simmons Discussion: 1. Agreement to have Dr. Benaquist as speaker for the first half of the program, and show the Documentary about Dr. Johnson and his family from Keene. 2. Went over the new costs presented by the Colonial Theater. 3. Discussed possibilities for a panel discussion for the second half of the program. Panelist would answer the question of “what has been Dr. King’s legacy in your life?” 4. Created a first draft of a schedule for the event. 5. A tentative budget was created for the event. Next meeting will be held at the Unitarian Universalist congregation on July 2 nd at 10 am. Chair of the LHRC, Patrick Wood, has been invited to attend this meeting. Respectfully submitted by Rev.
