1. INTERVIEWS & APPOINTMENTS
AF
Airport Manager Marv Everson gave a brief overview to the board at the start of the meeting. We had
Steve Cotter, Vicky VieBrooks and Carl Dodge as candidates for the openings. One position is a 4 year
term with eligibility for a 2nd 4 year term. One person is currently finishing the term of the person who
stepped down. That person will then be eligible to serve 2 more 4 year terms. The third one will be
likewise. It has not been determined which person will take on which role, that will be decided at the
R
next meeting. These new terms will be staggered so they do not expire at the same time.
Vicky VieBrooks interviewed with the board. Councilor Soucy asked where she lived. She lives over near
the Weirs. Peter Spanos asked if she thinks there is anything the board should be looking at that they
D
might have over the last couple of years. She said that her observations are for improving services,
access and transportation to and from the airport.
Stephen Cotter interviewed with the board. He is a resident of Laconia. Councilor Lipman asked if he
has flown out of Laconia himself and does he have any observations being a pilot himself. Mr. Cotter
said on and off for the last 4 years he has been flying from Laconia. In his opinion the operations here
are reasonably well. They do a great job. Peter Spanos asked in his vision for the airport, does he feel the
need to expand its capacity significantly over the next 5 to 10 years. Mr. Cotter said that if they have the
ability to do that would certainly be good.
Carl Dodge interviewed with the board and is a resident of Laconia. Peter Spanos asked if he had any
basis for comparison between the airport in Laconia and comparable places like Claremont and Keene in
terms of service. He said that Lebanon was pretty rugged because of the wind factor. Laconia is a nice
easy run in and out. He thinks that the operations are very satisfactory. There are always a few glitches
everywhere.

Dale Channing Eddy made the motion to move the nominations of these three individuals forward to the
Laconia Airport Authority. The motion was seconded by Councilor Felch. There was no further
discussion. The motion passed with all in favor 8-0.
Manager Everson announced their next meeting is next week.
2. ANY OTHER BUSINESS THAT MAY COME BEFORE THE COMMITTEE
