CITY OF LACONIA LICENSING BOARD & SPECIAL EVENTS REVIEW COMMITTEE MINUTES MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 3, 2014 APPROVED MEETING OF OCTOBER 1, 2014 Present: Licensing: J. Rogato, Chair; K. Erickson, LFD; W. Clary, LPD Present: SERC: S. Saunders, Planning; B. Swan, DPW; W. Clary, LPD; K. Gargano, Licensing; K. Dunleavy, Parks Absent: C. Roffo, LFD; S. McCusker, Code J. Rogato called the meeting to order at 12 pm. Licensing Review: Taxi Drivers: Mr. C’s Taxi: Stephanie M Hough, Spurgeon E Burns Motion: K. Erickson moved to approve the application with the second by J. Rogato. W. Clary said this is the first he has seen the applications for the drivers and took a minute to review them. He said he had no issues with the applications. All voted in favor of approval, 3-0. Steven’s Taxi: Michael T McKenzie Motion: K. Erickson moved to approve the application, with J. Rogato making the second. W. Clary said he had no issue with the driver’s application so all voted in favor of approval, 3-0. Licensing Regular: There was nothing additional to review. Licensing/ SERC: Renewal: Application # 2014-0112 Leavitt Park, 334 Elm Street Annual Children’s Carnival Carnival Games, Raffle, Hot Dogs, Soda; No Rides There were no issues with the event which has been held for a number of years. K. Erickson said they do not require a police detail. Motion: Licensing: K. Erickson moved to approve the application with the second by W. Clary. All voted in favor, 3-0. SERC: K. Dunleavy moved to approve the application with the second by K. Gargano. All voted in favor of approval, 5-0. Licensing New Business: Licensing Old Business: K. Snow said that the Happy Tails Dog Park had to postpone the 50/50 drawing which had been previously scheduled and it will be held at Pitman’s Freight Room on 9/13. J. Rogato asked for them to submit that in writing. Licensing Minutes: Approval of minutes for July 2, 2014. The motion was made by K. Erickson with the second by J. Rogato and all voted in favor, 3-0. Approval of minutes for August 6, 2014: W. Clary moved to approve the minutes with the second by J. Rogato. All voted in favor, 3-0. J. Rogato thanked K. Gargano for all of her hard work with the Licensing Board and wished her luck in her new position. Licensing Adjournment: The motion to adjourn the licensing portion of the meeting was made by J. Rogato and seconded by K. Erickson. All voted in favor, 3-0. SERC New Business: There was no additional business. SERC Minutes: Approval of minutes for August 6, 2014: The motion was made by K. Dunleavy and seconded by K. Gargano with all voting in favor of approval, 5-0. SERC Adjournment: The motion to adjourn the SERC portion of the meeting was made by S. Saunders with W. Clary seconding.
