CITY OF LACONIA SPECIAL EVENTS/LICENSING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING DECEMBER 2, 2015 12 NOON APPROVED JANUARY 6, 2016 Licensing Present: Ken Erickson, LFD; Matt Canfield, LPD Licensing Absent: Jim Rogato, Chair K. Erickson called the meeting to order at 12:05 pm. Licensing: Licensing Review: ITINERANT VENDOR 1. M&M Beloin Trees; Renewal from last year. Selling Christmas Trees and Wreaths at 480 Main Street 11/27-12/24; By Landmark. Motion: M. Canfield moved to approve, with K. Erickson seconding. Both voted in favor, 2-0. 2. Belknap House; Selling Christmas Trees at 326 Court Street 11/27-12/24: Motion: M. Canfield moved to approve with K. Erickson making the second. Both voted in favor of approval, 2-0. RAFFLE 3. St James Episcopal- Draw Date: November 21, 2015; Prizes: Certificate to Stafford Oil, American Eye Care, Quilt, Teddy bear, and Painting; Motion: M. Canfield moved to approve with K. Erickson seconding. Both voted in favor of approval, 2-0. TAXI DRIVER’S 4. Mr. C’s Taxi; Nicholas Sangillo. Motion: M. Canfield moved to approve with K. Erickson seconding. Both voted in favor of approval, 2-0. 5. Licensing Regular: Licensing New Business: There was no new business. Licensing Old Business: There was no old business. Licensing Minutes: Ken Erickson said he felt the minutes as written were fine; the remainder of the Licensing committee agreed so the minutes were accepted as written. Licensing Adjournment: K. Erickson moved to adjourn the Licensing portion of the meeting, with M. Canfield seconding. All voted in favor, 2-0. Special Events: Special Events Present: Shanna Saunders, Planning; Charlie Roffo, LFD; Bernie Swan, DPW; Kevin Dunleavy, Parks; Matt Canfield, LPD Special Events Absent: Cliff Jones, Code; Heather Young/Lindsey Allen, Licensing 1 Special Events Review: 1. Application # 2015-0130, Opechee Park Renewal: MS Walk K. Dunleavy said this is a repeat and that they have already been to the Parks Commission for approval. There are no changes. Motion: K. Dunleavy moved to approve the application, with C. Roffo making the second. All voted in favor of approval, 5-0. Special Events Old Business: There was no old business. Special Events New Business: There was no new business. Special Events Minutes: Acceptance of minutes for November 2, 2015: Motion: K. Dunleavy moved to approve with the second made by C. Roffo.
