City of Laconia Minor Site Plan City Hall, 45 Beacon St. East, Conference Room 200A June 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm Accepted September 28, 2016 I. Call to order Chair Paul Moynihan called the meeting to order at 2:03 pm and introduced the committee. Present: Paul Moynihan, Public Works; Tara Baker, Assessing; Brandee Loughlin, Planning; Craig Clairmont, Water; Charlie Roffo, Fire Absent: Cliff Jones, Code Enforcement; Al Graton, Police Chair Moynihan stated that there were five (5) members present and a quorum was established. Public Hearing a) Appl# PL2016-0083MSP 171 Fair St MBL 441-74-22 Downtown Gym Proposal to change the use of the building from office/distribution to indoor recreation (gym) Chair Moynihan opened the public hearing at 2:05 pm. B. Loughlin recused herself from the application. Applicant: Janine Page explained the intention to move the current location from downtown to Fair Street. Chair Moynihan stated that no site plan work will be done, therefore no from. She is hoping to be open by Sept 1. There is a handicap access and a shower to be added. Permits will be needed. Existing space in the building that is unoccupied and may be used in the future was a discussion. There was no one from the public to comment. Chair Moynihan closed the public hearing at 2:10 pm. Roffo made the motion to approve the change of use with the standard conditions that any work will need permits. T. Baker seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously 5-0. IV. Other business None V. Minutes Adoption of minutes from May 25, 2016 Chair Moynihan confirmed that the minutes of May 25 were accepted. VI. Adjournment B. Loughlin noted that this is the last meeting before Chair Moynihan retires and he was thanked B. Loughlin made the motion to adjourn. T. Baker seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously 5-0.
