1. CALL TO ORDER
Acting Chair Dean Trefethen called the meeting to order at 2:30 PM

Without objection, Acting Chair D. Trefethen declared the minutes accepted.

Agenda Section Is For The Board To Continue The Public Hearing For The Applicant And The Public To
Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote At This
Time.

Section Is For The Board To Have A Presentation From The Applicant And Open A Public Hearing For The
Public To Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote
At This Time.
7.I. PL2022-0115MSP; Lakeside Ave, Weirs Docks; Proposal To Have Pedal Boat Rentals Off The Public
Docks In Weirs Beach
The public hearing opened at 2:32 PM
Applicant: The Carey’s addressed the board. The name of the company is Weirs Beach Pedal Boats.
Each boat has a themed animals. The small boats will be house in the dock area but the larger boats
will be able to go farther, but no farther than the beach. The smaller boats will have and 15 minute time
limit an the larger boats will have half hour time limit. There will be a jet ski there for rescues. Council
has approved contingent of MSP approval. They will be open Memorial Day to Labor Day and not open
for Motorcycle week. Safety devises will be provided by the applicant. They will use an inflatable dock
for easier step down if the water level gets lower.

Acting Chair D. Trefethen noted that the approval would be as long as the lease. IF the lease gets
extended then the approval still stands and no further action will be needed.
There was no one from the public to speak for or against the application.
The public hearing closed at 2:35 PM
Motion to approve the application with the noting the use of an inflatable dock when the water level is
low made by A. Graton, N. Schwarz seconded. All voted favor.
