CALL TO ORDER Acting Chair Dean Trefethen called the meeting to order at 2:30 PM 2. ROLL CALL Members present: Nick Schwarz, Water Dept; Al Graton, Police; Tara Baker, Assessing; Dean Trefethen, Planning/Zoning/Code Absent: Wes Anderson, DPW; Tim Joubert, Fire 3. RECORDING SECRETARY Kalena Graham 4. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE 5. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS 5.I. Acceptance Of August 24, 2022 Without objection, Acting Chair D. Trefethen declared the minutes accepted. 6. CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARINGS, CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE VOTE Note: The Purpose Of This Agenda Section Is For The Board To Continue The Public Hearing For The Applicant And The Public To Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote At This Time. 7. PUBLIC HEARINGS, POSSIBLE CONSIDERATION AND VOTE Note: The Purpose Of This Agenda Section Is For The Board To Have A Presentation From The Applicant And Open A Public Hearing For The Public To Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote At This Time. 7.I. PL2022-0115MSP; Lakeside Ave, Weirs Docks; Proposal To Have Pedal Boat Rentals Off The Public Docks In Weirs Beach The public hearing opened at 2:32 PM Applicant: The Carey’s addressed the board. The name of the company is Weirs Beach Pedal Boats. Each boat has a themed animals. The small boats will be house in the dock area but the larger boats will be able to go farther, but no farther than the beach. The smaller boats will have and 15 minute time limit an the larger boats will have half hour time limit. There will be a jet ski there for rescues. Council has approved contingent of MSP approval. They will be open Memorial Day to Labor Day and not open for Motorcycle week. Safety devises will be provided by the applicant. They will use an inflatable dock for easier step down if the water level gets lower. Each boat has a themed animals. IF the lease gets extended then the approval still stands and no further action will be needed. There was no one from the public to speak for or against the application. The public hearing closed at 2:35 PM Motion to approve the application with the noting the use of an inflatable dock when the water level is low made by A. Graton, N. Schwarz seconded.
