BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES August 21, 2012 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Ron Shriner and Norm Childress. Absent: Tilara McDonald-Treece. Jacque Chosnek, 1st Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Murray moved for approval of the minutes from the August 14, 2012 regular meeting. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Economic Development Certificate of Completion, Final Waiver of Lien and Guarantee-2150 Ulen Lane Jennie Peterson, Economic Development, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Certificate of Completion, Final Waiver of Lien and Guarantee for 2150 Ulen Lane. The final contract is in the amount of $105,117.99. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Mike Jones, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $504,758.88. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS Event Street Closure Request-5th Annual Sidewalk Chalk Festival President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of an Event Street Closure Request for the 5th Annual Sidewalk Chalk Festival to be held September 5-9, 2012 from 1:00pm on September 5, 2012 until 5:00pm on September 9, 2012. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. Event Street Closure Request-Just Walk President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of an Event Street Closure Request for Just Walk to be held on October 14, 2012 from 1:30pm-3:30pm at the Tippecanoe County Fairground. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded.
